Integrated Tourism Services commenced operation in October of 1998 and has enjoyed rapid expansion as a result of the efforts of its highly professional team. The company now participates in a variety of tourism activities and is at the forefront of the industry in Western Australia . The company’s Executive Directors are Brian Spitteler and Tony Brbich who are joined on the Board by Cath Spitteler, acting as non-Executive Director.

Subsidiary companies include Fiesta Holidays Pty Ltd.

 

Brian Spitteler - Managing Director

Brian Spitteler


A member of the travel industry since 1967, Brian has held management positions in airlines and wholesale travel companies in Western Australia .

In 1978, he established New Horizons Pty Ltd and remained its Managing Director until December of 1997, having sold the business to an international group in 1995. Whilst he was at the helm, New Horizons grew to become Western Australia 's major travel wholesaler, with an uplift of 25,000 passengers per annum, a turnover of A$25 million and an unparalleled record of profitability.


After a period of rest, Brian formed Integrated Tourism Services Pty Ltd and brought the entity together mid-October 1999.

Brian oversees the development of Integrated Tourism Services, the introduction of computerised reservations systems, web sites and numerous other technological applications. He also participates in product development, controls foreign currency purchases and retains an overview of the company's direction.

In addition to Integrated Tourism Services and its subsidiaries, Mr Spitteler is Managing Director of Bushland Cottages Pty Ltd and SWAPcom Pty Ltd.


Tony Brbich - Executive Director

Following a period with the International Division of the Commonwealth Bank, Tony embarked on a career in travel, now spanning 30+ years.

In 1970 he established Bridge Travel which he built into Western Australia 's most successful suburban agency prior to selling to Thomas Cook in 1986. Tony then joined New Horizons Pty Ltd and was a Director of that company until its sale in 1995, remaining on whilst controlling a personal portfolio of retail, conference and incentive business. In October of 1999 he joined Integrated Tourism Services as a Director and shareholder.

Tony has been extremely active in travel and tourism industry associations having been Chairman of the WA Chapter of AFTA, a past member of the Sir David Brand Award Selection Panel and currently a member of the Australian Institute of Travel and Tourism. He has also been honoured with Life Membership of the SKAL Club, a worldwide club of senior travel and tourism executives.

Tony has travelled extensively both overseas and within Australia , and has a comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of retail and wholesale travel. He is actively involved on a day to day basis with Integrated Tourism Services in retail travel (both individuals and groups) and in the development of conference and incentive business opportunities.


George Booth - Director of Sales

George Booth


George commenced his travel industry career in 1955 and has, since then, managed retail and wholesale travel operations.

After 15 years with Dalgety NZ Travel Service, he was instrumental in establishing Vacations International, WA’s first travel wholesaler, in 1969. Following its sale, George went on to become Regional Manager WA/SA/NT for Qantas Holidays and was actively involved in contracting duties in South-East Asia.

George has served 3 terms with tourism boards and (most recently) as Deputy Chairman of the Western Australian Tourism Commission - from 1996-98.

Mr Booth has been on the national board and was State Chairman of AFTA; and served 2 years as Chairman of the Western Australian Tourism Industry Association (inaugural life member).

During his career, George has travelled frequently and extensively and has a thorough destination knowledge as well as innumerable contacts with hoteliers, airline personnel and ground operators in many countries.

George has designed and conducted a number of large Incentive groups both Internationally and Domestically and has facilitated many Corporate travel accounts.

Mr Booth joined Integrated Tourism Services in 1999 and is a shareholder of the company.


Travis Smith – Business Development Manager

Travis’ business career began in 1984 when he established an activity in the musical field. Following its rapid expansion (to a point where it employed 11 staff), he decided on a shift in direction.

In 1988, he commenced his career in travel, operating within a Sydney-based corporate agency which handled a suite of large corporate accounts, as well as a number of very well known Australian identities. It was during this time that Travis gained his grounding in corporate travel.

In 1993, Travis moved across to Western Australia and purchased the business of Sterling Travel & Tours, a Cottesloe-based agency. Then, following several successful years, he sold the business to Integrated Tourism Services in January 1998 and set about increasing his activities.

Since then, Travis has worked hard to build his strong base of corporate accounts and now controls several which spend over 1 Million per annum. His knowledge and ability to secure deals and relationships are second to none in this marketplace and he is acknowledged as being amongst the very top producers (Australia-wide), in this challenging field of endeavour.

Travis is a highly committed travel professional who works very hard to provide the very best possible results for his numerous clients. He is also a shareholder in Integrated Tourism Services Pty Ltd.
